Wealth Tip - Achieving a Wealth Consciousness

Now it's time for a little exercise to find out your thoughts about wealth and money. This process is a giant leap forwards in achieving your wealth consciousness. You should note what you say and think about money every day as you go about your business. How many times do you say, "I can't afford it", or something similar? Do you say to yourself, "I am no good with money" and similar negative statements?

To do:

Write down all your beliefs about money and all the things you say to yourself about money.

Take as long as you need to do this, but make sure you do it. Having these beliefs written down in front of you will help a great deal in eradicating the negative ones, and in identifying what your beliefs actually are. Until now, you may find that many of these beliefs are buried in your subconscious and you have not been aware of them.

How many of these are negative? How many of these are not yours and come from other people? Our parents and other adults instill many of these in us when we are young. We develop even more from our peers as we grow up. All these negative beliefs need removing from your subconscious and replaced with positive seeds that will grow to bring happiness and wealth to you.

Search through all the negative beliefs and try to identify where they come from. Look at them and decide if they are valid or if they are rubbish and should be discarded? Do each of these beliefs empower you or dis-empower you? Spend a few minutes looking at them and realise that you have been carrying this garbage around in your head for years where it has caused you problems. Do not be depressed though, for this is great news! You have just identified some negative beliefs, and are preparing to replace them with much better beliefs that will empower you and enable you to achieve your goals.

Now for the fun part. Next to each of these negative beliefs, write out a positive belief for each one. Phrase it in a way that ensures you will get the most from it and that it is not impossible to achieve. For example, if you say "I am wealthy when I have a million dollars in my bank account" may mean that you will not feel wealthy for some time. However, if you say, "I am wealthy when I can pay my bills easily" then you will probably achieve that much quicker. Put these positive beliefs in a place where you can see them often and read them (ideally out loud) at least twice a day, and look at them often to reinforce the message to your subconscious.

By identifying and changing your beliefs about money and wealth, you can start to see places where your subconscious has been holding you back, and may even have been sabotaging your financial plans. Re-writing these beliefs and installing new, positive beliefs allows you to re-program the subconscious and to be free yourself from the restrictions you placed upon yourself.

A common belief is what you are worth. For example, you may be doing all sorts of work, but believe you are only worth say $40,000 a year. Maybe this figure is $100,000 or even more. The point is that if you do not believe you are worth the amount of money that you want, you will never attain and keep it. You will always find some way to sabotage yourself and return to your self-worth figure. Think about how much you could earn, how much you are worth, and realise that you are easily worth $100,000. You are worth $1,000,000 a year, and very much more!

To help instil these new beliefs, you can use affirmations. These are positive sentences repeated in your mind or aloud that help to reprogram negative ways and achieve your goals. An affirmation should not be too wordy. It should be positive and ideally phrased in the present tense. Some examples that you may like to use are below, though feel free to make your own to suit your own personal situation and way of thinking.

  • * I deserve complete abundance in every area of my life
  • * I deserve to be prosperous and wealthy
  • * Living abundantly and well is my normal way of life
  • * I am ready to creative unlimited wealth in all areas of my life
  • * My income exceeds my expenses
  • * I am good with money, and spend it wisely where necessary
  • * Wealth flows in my life through my giving and receiving
These are just a few to get you started, but try some of your own. Ideally, repeat these for 10 minutes in the morning and evening. This is great to do in the car or on the bus (though please pay attention to what is going on around you, whichever way you may travel). Affirmations will help to re-program some of the negativity instilled within you over the years. When you are doing these, it is vitally important that you do not just say the words whilst thinking about what you need to buy at the supermarket. You have to concentrate on them and put your focus on the outcome happening. Feel their success, believe in them, and know that you can succeed.

If you have the opportunity, then you can increase their effect many times by visualising the outcome of your affirmations (and your goals and financial plans too if you wish). By visualising them, you see and feel the affirmation being true. Let us take an example.

"I am good with money, and spend it wisely where necessary"

To visualise this outcome you could see yourself with a good sum of money in the bank, and spending it on good quality investments and things you need, and not frivolously on things that you do not need or are of poor quality. Use visualisation in as many areas of your life as possible - it is a truly amazing tool.

Health Tip

A positive mind is the greatest contribution you can have to a healthy body. The mind controls many of the functions of the body, as is currently being discovered by modern science. This field of healing is being pioneered by people such as Deepak Chopra who has entitled it "Quantum Healing".

Should you find any illness, whether major or minor afflicting you then the best thing you can do to heal your body is to keep a positive outlook and a solid belief in your wellness.

If you do this when you feel a cold coming on then you can often get rid of the cold just through the power of your mind.
